Dr. Mancuso is a Licensed Professional Counselor. In her practice, she utilizes a compassionate approach while creating a structured, therapeutic environment. Through a collaborative process of setting therapeutic goals, patients will be able to facilitate behavioral change, enhance their coping strategies, improve their relationships, and achieve their potential.
Dr. Mancuso has over 25 years of clinical experience. Along with working as a Certified School Psychologist, she has served as a geriatric consultant at various nursing homes and is past chair of the Monmouth County Mental Health Board. Dr. Mancuso has been a guest speaker at various school districts and community organizations and has presented on topics, including, Today’s Parenting Challenges, Learning Disabilities and the Exceptional Child and Caregiver Burnout.
She also completed a one-year internship at Jersey Shore Medical Center, where she participated in psychological and neuro-psychological assessments, child assessments, outpatient and inpatient psychotherapy, crisis counseling and family counseling. As a requirement for her doctoral program, Dr. Mancuso completed a one-year externship at Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center, focusing on individual and family counseling, crisis intervention and child sexual abuse. During this time, she was also a participant in the norming of the fourth edition of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS – IV).
